Fully Local - Yummy Punjabi Khana

Vanakkam, Guys,

It's been really long since we blogged here. We had been travelling and a little held up, so couldn't post frequently. Coming to today's post, it's a review about the restaurant called Fully Local.

Kulfi has already reviewed the vegetarian cuisine of this place in her blog here.

I am going to review the non-veg cuisine alone here.

Soul of Seoul @ Vascos, Hilton

Vanakkam,

Recently, me and Kulfi were invited to Hilton Hotel to try their Korean Food Festival - Soul of Seoul. It started on 11th August, the day we visited this place. It will go on till 26th August, and it is priced at Rs. 1900+tax per buffet meal.

The place needs to no introduction. It looks fancy and awesome. Situated as a large restaurant in the third floor, the place scream grandeur. The service was quite and friendly too. Coming to cuisine, Kulfi has reviewed the Veg Menu in her blog, I am Stri.

Here, I will be reviewing the Non-Veg Menu.

As we had so much food, I am just gonna mention the food that I loved, and here are those. Let's start with the desserts!

Chocolate Dosa: Yum! That's the word. I loved this a lot. Made of wheat flour, this was two favorite food of mine together, chocolate and dosa!

VB Signature - Blurring The Lines Between Cuisines

Vanakkam,

The first thing that pops into my head when I hear about Vasanta Bhavan is how conventional and predictable its menu is. Well… This place successfully breaks that trend. I can comfortably say that this is the best Vasanta Bhavan I have ever been to.

There aren’t a lot of places that I can compare this to. I mean, who else serves a Thai flavoured Kothu Parotta?? Read on...

Tawa 9 - Nachos & Kulfi are on Cloud 9 - Restaurant Review

Vanakkam, makkale!

Nachos told me that I am like Leech from X-Men, when I am near Triplicane or Mylapore. He claims that I turn everyone around me to be a religious and/or preach purity and virtue to them. LOL! It is just where my heart is: in the crooked, crowded streets of Triplicane and Mylapore. I recently took him to this place called Tawa 9 after reading about it in my friend Katie's blog. I immediately wanted to try this place, and dragged him there.

Tawa 9 - Chennai Bloggers
Located in Venkatakrishna Iyer Road, RA Puram, right next to the Domino's Pizza.
The moment I entered inside there, it was a casual dining ambiance with normal furniture. This wall art caught my eye though.

Dine @ Etc - Things To Do In Chennai #2

Hi, People,

You might have already read my dining experience in Etc Cafe & Restaurant over here. This post is under our Things To Do In Chennai series. I, initially, thought of not adding restaurants in this series as I wanted to maintain it as a pure recreational series. However, this place was too entertaining and recreational that I cannot resist adding it over here. Located in the Rutland Gate 5th Street, this place is quite easy to spot using Google Maps. As I said earlier there is ample parking space with an option for valet parking too. If you are wondering what is so ravishing about this place, take a look at this.

Chocolate Ba(Zuka)

Vanakkam!

Here is my long overdue thoughts on Zuka, a dessert joint located right opposite to Hotel President in Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore. When  we decided to go to this restaurant, the first thing that intrigued me was the name. What does Zuka mean? So, I asked the almighty Google, and I got all sorts of answers from Japanese theatres to crossdressing cultures. I even got a result that simply means “Insane.” Well… In that way, this Pondicherry based restaurant is aptly named.

Etc Cafe & Restaurant - Vegetarian Cuisine Review

Hi, folks,

Recently The Chennai Bloggers Club and Etc Cafe & Restaurant together invited us to review the restaurant's Sea Food Cuisine. I attended this event with my little niece, and being a Vegetarian, I am here reviewing their Vegetarian cuisine. The review is gonna be a two part review; this post is about the food, and the next post would be about the restaurant itself. For those who don't know, we are doing, "Things To Do In Chennai" series, and we are featuring this restaurant.

Okay, with no further ado, here goes the creamy, yummy mushroom soup.

Bombay Kulfi: The Place Where Kulfi Called Dibs For Her Name

Vanakkam!

Before we get into details about this delightful place called Bombay Kulfi, let me clarify something. I’m named Nacho because Nacho rhymes with Macho, not because I like Nachos... Although I do; I love ‘em.
Well, the first special thing about this hidden treasure located in Adyar is that they literally serve Bombay Kulfi. These folks receive cold storage boxes from Mumbai every other day. That trumps the first assumption anyone makes after hearing about this place. Not another Thalappakatti biriyani or Kolkatta chat joint that believes a fancy name would do the trick. What we eat here is actually from Bombay. The quality is substantially higher than any other Kulfi joint in Chennai, at this price point.

Fusilli Reasons: The Place Where Nachos Called Dibs For His Name

Hola, People,

This place is where our blogging journey started. I was suggesting Nachos that we try this place, and I was pleasantly surprised when he said he has never tried this place before. Fusilli Reasons in Kilpauk - We won't call this an Italian Foodie's paradise, but we would definitely say this is a hidden treasure for cheese lovers. Do you remember those times when your pocket is almost empty yet food cravings seem to be never-ending? This place is for such times.

Since we drove to this place, two major issues were resolved. Firstly, we used Google Maps and reached here without hassles. Also, this place is mostly crowded; as we came in a car, we took our food to our car and had it. Otherwise, it would have been quite a bit of waiting time.
